Great Price on Fast NVMe SSD! Bought on Black Friday sale.

    Doesn’t reach even 500MB

By Mokhirjon Rated 1 out of 5 Date: 2022-12-16

Too slow, just before this review copied an 8GB video file from WD 1TB WD_BLACK SN850 (need to mention I didn’t have any problems with this disk yet of a year use) disk to this Crucial, and 70% of the copying time was 70MB/s (too slow isn’t it?!) ~500MB/s writing speed is only for a few seconds at the beginning of the process the rest of the time it’s under 70MB/s (it’s too slow for the specified speed). It’s better to pay more for a WD disk (for example) to get the specified speed.

    Awesome Upgrade

By Kim Rated 5 out of 5 Date: 2022-12-14

PC only had 256 gig SSD, upgraded an additional drive with this 2gig. I use thr PC for music composition. Loads my sample library much faster than from an attached USB 3 hard drive. Well worth the money spent.

    Great capacity & fast

By Peter Rated 5 out of 5 Date: 2022-12-12

This SSD is used for storage in my new built PC. 4TB M.2 is fast and efficient as media storage. The sale price is fairly affordable. No complaint so far.

I didn’t really stress test the ssd so far but I installed my OS and some games and game launchers and it’s really fast with loading games and I’m not disappointed one bit.

Upgraded a Lenovo AIO from 500GB to 2TB

By John Rated 5 out of 5 Date: 2023-01-17

I bought a Lenovo AIO recently. Nice PC but only had a 500GB M.2 SSD. I bought this Crucial 2TB and installed it today. I used the Acronis software from Crucial to clone the smaller M.2 drive to the new 2TB SSD. It took two tries to clone successfully, but 2nd try was the charm, and the process took less than an hour. Then I removed the back panel on the computer. The photo shows the AIO opened up and ready to expose the motherboard and swap out the M.2 drive. After reassembly, the computer coughed and failed to start Windows 11, but Lenovo and Windows provided multiple options to fix the problem. After I deleted two recent Windows Updates, hurray! Success! This drive is not the fastest M.2 that Crucial makes, but the computer is basically a home workstation, not used for gaming. The price was great, too. Less than Crucial’s OEM price, and the drive was in stock at BH Photo. BTW, I bought the drive through the Guest checkout process, but then I created a BH Photo account and was able to view the FedEx shipping status. Even though it was ground shipping, I got the drive in only 3 days.
